Alex McNamara

I’m Canadian, but now live on the central coast of California. It’s very lovely here, and a great place for my toddler to explore the natural world. Really, I’d encourage anyone who’s interested to visit the area.

I’m currently a Director of Engineering at AuditBoard, and previously was the CTO of Orion Labs leading up to its acquisition. I’ve been incredibly fortunate to wear so many hats over the course of my career, working as an IC across some very disparate technologies (telecommunications, retail, consumer electronics, enterprise SaaS, etc.) before becoming an executive leader. I’ve also had the opportunity to work with some incredible people who have helped guide me along the way.

With that being said, this blog really doesn’t have much to do with my day-to-day work but rather just issues and technologies that I find personally interesting. I also don’t expect there to be a particular theme across the content here, because I don’t want my personal interests to become too narrowly focused.
